The basic elements which comprise traditional Japanese patterns have been incorporated into a new design. This is the preliminary sketch of an ornamental door, to be created in metal. By taking two-dimensional designs on paper and creating them as three-dimensional works in metal, we are expanding the field of decorative design into a new realm of expression.
